Experts review survey report on diversity of vascular plants in SIP

A group of botany experts from several Chinese universities met in SIP on May 28 to review the report on a survey conducted by Nanjing Forestry University (NFU) under the authorization of SIP Land Resources and Environmental Protection Bureau for the purpose of gaining a holistic picture of plants in SIP and providing basis for local environmental improvement and protection in the future. Officials from related local departments were present.

At the event, Prof. Chen Xin from NFU gave the participants a specific introduction to the plant species and distribution in SIP, while Prof. Hao Riming from Nanjing Agricultural University, Prof. Chang Qing from Nanjing Normal University and Associate Prof. Shi Quanliang from Soochow University shared their opinions on the report. The experts also offered advice on future plant landscape design and maintenance and environmental management to the local officials.
