Communities in SIP’s Hudong sub-district recently organized a series of events, calling on local residents to do their bit in local governance.

Linglongwan Community hosted an event on Apr 2 when a professional dog trainer expounded on laws and regulations on dog rearing to a number of local dog owners and taught them scientific dog training methods that can help avoid damage to environment hygiene and public safety.

At the event in Linglongwan Community on Apr 3, the participating residents signed a letter of commitment with the community committee to join local environmental protection campaigns, and helped pick up litter in the surrounding area.

On the same day, Hupan Tiancheng Community carried out a publicity event at a local business street to hand out brochures on garbage classification to the passersby, and offered a public lecture where a lawyer taught the participating residents ways of fighting against illicit activities of triad gangs based on real cases.

Shidai Shangchengbei Community hosted a photography exhibition, showcasing many photos by a group of local residents who serve as “community photo reporters” to record wonderful moments in the community through their lenses.
