Daoxin Supply Chain Management Co Ltd, a fourth party logistics service supplier in SIP, announced its success in upgrading its cross-border land freight transport services after its first truck serving the over-1,000-kilometer Yangshan Port (Shanghai)-Hong Kong route completed a 36-hour travel on Feb 18 to carry a batch of brand clothes to the company's warehouse in Hong Kong.

It is reported that the company has been engaged in Suzhou-Hong Kong land freight transport since 2005, the next year after its founding. Currently, with a 5,000-square-meter warehouse in Hong Kong and, in average, eight trucks departing from it every day, the company provides next-day delivery services for a host of clients in the two areas. The new line between Yangshan Port in Shanghai International Shipping Center and Hong Kong is expected to help greatly expand its client base.

"Compared with air transport, the cross-border transport mode takes about the same time but reduces the cost by half. So, it is a good choice for the nearby consignors," said Hu Rongyi, general manager of the company.
Hu also revealed that they are planning to roll out the mode to cities of Tianjin, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Chongqing to help set up cost-effective express channels for cargo delivery from mainland China to Hong Kong.
