Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone (DLSEIZ), the cluster of educational and research resources and emerging industries in SIP, has been developing steadily toward "a paradise for startups", a goal set 17 years ago when it was erected.

DLSEIZ has never stopped efforts to build a complete and excellent ecosystem for business innovation and launch. Last year, seven state-level business incubators and four provincial-level ones were set up, plus 18 maker spaces. Additionally, a number of domestic and overseas organizations such as the University of Oxford and the Aerospace Information Research Institute at the Chinese Academy of Sciences inaugurated their research arms in the area, while several other enterprises and universities launched their projects, too.

On the other hand, the local authorities enhanced their efforts last year to optimize local land use. A series of business carrier renovation and construction projects for the purpose are underway.

Moreover, DLSEIZ made remarkable achievements over the past year in luring talents and innovative projects, with over 400 science and technology projects established in it and 104 high-calibre professionals added to its talent pool.
