Chinese and Singaporean officials discuss cooperation in software development and application

SIP hosted this year's 1st Conference on China-Singapore Cooperation in Software Development and Application on Feb 14, in an effort to strengthen collaboration with Singaporean parties in software-related projects.

Wu Qingwen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, and Peng Ee Goh, deputy secretary and software office director at the Ministry of Trade & Industry of Singapore, jointly presided over the discussion about future cooperation schemes.

It is confirmed at the event that SIP will carry out 7 training programs in 2019 for the trainees to learn Singaporean experience for local opening-up and innovation, technology development, technical talent cultivation, business operation, urban management, fiscal administration and brand building.

After the event, Goh and his contingent visited SIP Exhibition Center, Positec (China) and Ascendas Innovation Park, where they gained a better understanding of SIP's economic and social development in recent years.
