A micro film recently released by SIP Hudong Community Working Committee exemplifies a good way of banning fireworks and firecrackers during the Chinese Spring Festival holiday.

Fireworks and firecrackers are an important part of traditional Chinese New Year celebrations. However, they are banned in most of the urban areas in recent years for their negative consequences.

The micro film contains a succession of humorous stories to show the serious environmental pollution and safety risks the small explosive devices produce and popularize local laws and regulations on prohibition of fireworks and firecrackers. It is reportedly the eighth micro film the committee made for the purpose of arousing the public's legal awareness.
