A news briefing held in Beijing on Jan 18 announced that the 2019 Global AI Products and Applications Expo, jointly sponsored by the People's Government of Suzhou and Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Strategy Alliance and organized by SIP Administrative Committee, will take place in SIP from May 9 to 11.

The AI expo, first held in SIP last year, is designed to promote a faster AI development and expanding its application in various sectors like manufacturing, software and hardware development and services.

This year's event will consist of exhibitions, forums, contests and performances to give a holistic picture of AI development and application in the country, and also an award ceremony to commend individuals and organizations with remarkable contributions to the advancement of AI technologies. Besides, the 2018 Report on New-Generation AI Development will be released then.

According to the event sponsors, many domestic and overseas enterprises including Huawei, iFLYTEK, Cambricon and AISpeech have signed agreements or confirmed to showcase their latest products and technologies at the expo.
