HB World, a film-themed entertainment complex in SIP's Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort, lately announced that people who visit it from Feb 5 to 19 will have chances to join a series of Chinese New Year celebrations featuring elements of Tang Dynasty (618–907).

According to the HB World operator, the celebrations will last throughout the holiday season from the Chinese New Year that will fell on Feb 5 to the Chinese Lantern Festival, which, reckoned on the fifteenth day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar, will fall on Feb 19 this year.

Walking on the bustling streets adorned with red lanterns and diverse festival decorations of retro fashion, the visitors will feel like they have been transported back in time to the Tang Dynasty. There will be people in Tang-style costumes dancing, singing and hawking their products, and also cosplayers who, dressing up as some of the most famous poets at that time, suddenly appear and interact with the visitors.

Apart from that, a ceremony to worship the "god of wealth" in traditional Chinese myths will take place on the fifth day of the first lunar month, and a Lantern Festival fair will be held on the fifteenth day when the participants can enjoy beautiful lanterns, guess lantern riddles and taste tangyuan (stuffed small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour) that the Chinese like to eat on that day.

In addition, it will also be a good option to try the Chinese New Year orienteering or a list of HB World's classic entertainment projects.
