The National Medical Alliance of Hypertension (NMAH), a medical service alliance initiated in 2017 by National Center for Cardiovascular Disease and Fuwai Hospital at the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, inaugurated the NMAH Suzhou Center in Suzhou on Jan 13. At the inauguration ceremony, SIP Xinghai Hospital was declared a new member of the alliance.

As the initiator or participant of a number of local cooperative medical and health service programs, Xinghai Hospital, a second-class public hospital, has accumulated rich experience in cooperating with other hospitals and health service organizations to give timely and convenient treatment to patients, offer training to medics and disseminate health knowledge among citizens. Statistics show that 36,851 patients and 3,038 residents benefited from the programs last year.

The hospital plans to join hands with other NMAH members to enhance hypertension prevention and establish a two-way patient referral mechanism to ensure better treatment outcomes.
