"HYATT·LOVE THE PLANET" CHARITY CHRISTMAS TREE-LIGHTING CEREMONY

Hyatt Regency Suzhou had held its fifth annual Christmas tree-lighting ceremony to kick off the festive season on 1 December 2018 in the hotel's 29-storey atrium, which will feature a gorgeous, fully decorated Christmas tree. The event will be highlighted by Christmas carols, a performance by students and a festive season charity donation activity.

This year's Christmas tree-lighting ceremony is themed "Love the planet", and the hotel has enlisted Venezuelan visual artist KATALINA MAVARES to create four styles of limited-edition canvas eco-friendly shopping bags for the online charity sale. All guests and children are invited to participate in the environmental program in order to reflect on the impact of human activities on our precious planet.

The hotel has invited the General Manager of Volvo Suzhou, the artist Katalina Mavares Dulwich College Suzhou choir to light the Christmas tree. The Executive Chef has prepared seasonal Christmas beverages and desserts for the ceremony, which is an ideal opportunity for families to spend holiday time together, sharing happiness and gratitude.

On behalf of Hyatt Regency Suzhou's management and staff, General Manager Mr Raymond Tang extends holiday wishes to all the guests attending this ceremony, "We are so glad to cooperate with the artist Katalina Mavares for this charity project during the Christmas season. As a participant in Hyatt Thrive, we would like to donate all the profits to CHI HENG Foundation for supporting children impacted by AIDS," says Mr Tang.
