Teacher training program underway at iSmart Home

The third session of the "iSmart Home" International Teacher Training Program started at iSmart Home, SIP Youth & Children Center on Dec 3. Five experts from Singapore National Institute of Education will give a series of lectures on innovative teaching approaches to 117 local primary and middle school teachers over the next 10 days.

SIP Administrative Committee and Temasek Foundation International (TFI), a non-profit organization under the philanthropic arm of the Singaporean state-owned fund Temasek Holdings, jointly launched the program in June, hoping to help primary and middle school teachers improve their teaching abilities.

In addition to lectures given by the Singaporean experts based on real cases, the new session offers participants of the earlier sessions chances to share their practices in applying what they have learnt under the program in their classes.
