Flower projects add more charms to Jinji Lake area

SIP's urban management authority recently completed the landscaping project to decorate the banks of Jinji Lake with flowers. The new sceneries have received favorable comments from the citizens.

As part of the project, a flower sculpture, the first of its kind in Suzhou, was erected at the southeast corner of Linglongwan Community. The 7-meter-high and 12-meter-long project consists of 17 "flowers" elaborately arranged using different species of plants, equipped with lamps and automatic spraying devices. The flowers are replaceable, according to related staff.

To the south of the community is a 125-meter-long stainless steel corridor with 58 wisteria vines hanging down from the top. There are benches and landscape lights inside the corridor for passersby to have a rest and enjoy the beautiful sceneries.

Apart from that, two flower beds composed of over 20 kinds of flowers and other plants sit at both sides of Xiandai Avenue, with a total length of about 2,000 meters and a total area of nearly 4,000sqm. It is learnt the flowers will be changed in different seasons.
