SIMTrip raises tens of millions of yuan from angel investors
SIMTrip, a cross-border mobile communication data service startup under the incubation project of LY.com MakerSpace in SIP, recently announced that it has raised tens of millions of yuan from the incubator and another Chinese angel investor Shenzhen Chunshang Capitals. Wang Chen, the company's founder, revealed that the fund will be used for product improvement, team building and overseas market expansion.
Founded in 2015, SIMTrip has seen total sales of RMB 70 million by this August relying on its specialized and customized services, with customers not only in the country but also in Europe, America and Southeast Asia. Its partners include a host of globally renowned mobile service suppliers, such as British leading mobile network operator Giffgaff and prepaid payments processor Epay.
According to Wang, the company is now working on a list of innovative products tailored for businessmen, tourists and other people who travel around the world.
