SIP officials conduct field survey on water quality

Wu Qingwen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, and his contingent visited several watercourses in SIP on Sept 13, in a move to evaluate the results of a water pollution control and rectification program launched early this year.

In the event, the officials observed the water in the watercourses covered by the program, inquired about corresponding remedies and improvements, and listened to the reports by related people in charge. Wu stressed that water quality control should be made a long-term mechanism to ensure continuous water pollution prevention and control.

After that, the officials paid a visit to SIP Sino-French Environmental Technology Co Ltd, where they acquired more details about domestic sewage disposal in the area.
