Handy services to give residents a leg-up in daily life

Two communities at Weiting Sub-district recently offered various handy services to the local residents in collaboration with several local service organizations, trying to give people a leg-up in their daily life.

The residents in Yilin Community enjoyed free haircut, knife sharpening, blood pressure testing and traditional Chinese medical treatment at the local daily care center. They also received handouts on fire and drug abuse prevention from the community staff.

In Gaobang Community, Xu Xing'e, a doctor from Kuatang Health Service Center, gave over 60 residents a lecture on health maintenance in summer. Using easy-to-understand Suzhou dialect, Xu expounded on a set of ancient Chinese theories on keeping healthy in different seasons to the residents, advising them to adopt healthful lifestyles and diets in daily life.
