Youngsters' award-winning inventions displayed
A variety of creative inventions from the youngsters who have won the 10th Suzhou Gao Shiqi Creative Competition were displayed at SIP Library on June 10, attracting over 1,000 visitors.
The competition was launched in November 2017, and 75 of 1,212 entries were declared winners in early June. Among the exhibits is a hat that can help student stop dozing off and keep right sitting posture in class, a smart flowerpot that can control soil moisture for different kinds of plants, and a smart canopy that automatically opens and closes according to weather. It is learnt that some of the works are going to be patented.
Concurrently, more than 20 fathers with doctorates imparted science knowledge to the youngsters based on their expertise and shared their parenting concepts and experience with other parents on site.
