SIP strives to set up 11 new schools this year
Being highly aware of the important role of education in boosting an area's prosperity, the SIP authority has set the goal to finish construction, renovation and expansion of 52 schools during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) to enable about 58,000 more people to acquire academic degrees at different levels. This year, their goal is to set up 11 new schools to offer 16,100 students degrees.
Last year, SIP saw 10 schools built up and expanded, along with increased capacity to offer 15,200 students degrees. Currently, the area has 264 education institutions engaged in various elementary, higher and vocational education programs, with a total of 228,000 students.
However, the local authority actually hopes to see more than just an increase in the number of schools and students. They said the ultimate aim is to provide the local residents with the best learning opportunities. With this purpose, they have been endeavoring to help schools improve their teaching quality by virtue of advanced technologies, optimize the local education structure, integrate educational resources and attract education professionals with lofty policy incentives.
