Exercises competition to arouse residents' awareness of bone health
SIP Social Affairs Bureau hosted an exercises competition at the square of Hudong Neighborhood Center on May 4, aiming to arouse people's awareness of bone health. After rounds of contests, six of 21 teams were declared the top three place winners.
The event is part of the country's Health Knowledge Dissemination Program, which was launched in 2015 to spread health maintenance concepts and skills through diverse theme events. SIP joined the program last April to carry out a series of programs and events themed on bone health.
The exercises that the contestants demonstrated are believed to be helpful for preventing osteoporosis and other bone diseases. Many residents showed interest in trying the exercises personally.
