A number of children in Xingzhouwan Community attended a painting class on Mar 17 to learn traditional Chinese painting skills. The event was part of the community's regular program devised for youngsters to learn calligraphy and painting skills.

Following the teacher's instructions and demonstration, the children practiced fundamental painting skills by drawing loquats and bottle gourds. They also associated the bottle gourds with Calabash Brothers in a popular Chinese animation TV series and sang the theme song to it.

It is reported that the community has many events of similar kind on its schedule, hoping they will help more youngsters acquire new knowledge and skills in a fun way.
