48 policemen partake in SZJLIHM as security officers and racers as well

The 2018 (9th) Suzhou Jinji Lake International Half Marathon (SZJLIHM) took place in SIP on Mar 11, attracting over 30,000 racers and nearly 100,000 spectators. A total of 1,234 police officers from Suzhou Public Security Bureau SIP Office served on site to ensure the event went on in an orderly manner. It is noteworthy that 48 of them also joined the competition.

The 48 policemen are from SIP Police Runners’ Club which was founded in 2014 and has taken part in a variety of running events. It was the fourth time that the club members participated in the SZJLIHM.
"We shoulder the task to offer the contestants timely and professional help on the track," the team head Lu Di said.

"What impressed me the most in the event is that you knew policemen were by your side to protect you," a racer said.
