On June 18, the annual meeting of China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA) MEMS Branch, the most authoritative high-end exchange activity of Chinese MEMS industry, was held in Suzhou Industrial Park with the participation of more than 300 industry experts and representatives of upstream and downstream enterprises in MEMS sensor designing, system integration and application, intelligent hardware, smart home, smart community and industrial service to discuss technological innovation and market-related hot topics, for the purpose of promoting application of innovative MEMS sensor technology to smart wear/smart home as well as development of the industry.

Initiated by over 30 enterprises on the MEMS industrial chain and set up in 2014, CSIA MEMS Branch aims to achieve MEMS industrial resources integration by linking up nationwide MEMS designing, production, packaging and test, application, industrial platforms and others concerned, and promote MEMS talents gathering, technological innovation and commercialization of R&D deliverables.

The CSIA set up its MEMS branch in Nanopolis Suzhou because all semiconductor industry experts are optimistic that the MEMS base of Nanopolis Suzhou could do a good job in promoting the whole industry. The opening of this annual meeting in Suzhou signifies the general acknowledgement of Suzhou's great contribution to MEMS industry. And the brainstorming of manufacturers, solution providers, operators and system developers at the meeting is beneficial to the promotion of MEMS industrial chain, according to Chen Xian, vice president of CSIA.
