On October 29, Alcoa Fastening Systems (Suzhou) Co. Ltd. organized 2012 Alcoa Fire Drill jointly with The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, Youth League Committee of Shengpu Town, Shengpu Fire Brigade, Suzhou Love Zone Charity Organization, and Our Youth Home (Shanghai). The drill was held on theme of disaster prevention and evacuation drill. As the important part of the 7th Volunteer Service Month of Alcoa (China), many volunteers from friendly enterprises and enterprises nearby were invited to observe the activity.

The drill was aimed at enhancing the fire safety awareness of employees and improving the self-protection and self-rescue capability of the staff by identifying emergency escape path, using fire extinguishers, examining the functions of fire fighting devices in the factory to ensure the plant's safety.
