SIP Xinghai Primary School Welcomes New Term

On the morning of September 1, all students and teachers of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Xinghai Primary School gathered on the playground to attend the opening ceremony for the new semester, and reported and summarized the results of "Three cans" in the summer vacation. (referring to "I can have a good rest", "I can teach myself", and "I can improve my physique".)

Through a series of activities in the summer vacation, the pupils welcomed the new term with renewed vigor and vitality. And Xinghai "Three Cans" TaoBao Network was officially opened on the ceremony for students to share experiences in the summer vacation.

In the summer vacation, to respond to Xinghai "Three cans" call, the students enthusiastically took part in all kinds of social practice activities, including picking up trash, collecting discarded materials, publicizing environment-protection knowledge, adopting green plants and making bird's nests in communities, and visiting Taohuawu woodblock new year prints exhibition in Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute, etc.

In this summer, Xinghai has given loving-care to the primary schools in earthquake-hit Yushu in Qinghai Province. With 30,000 yuan donated by students' parents and 1,832 yuan by charity sales of her classmates' donation, Cheng Jiayi, the fifth grader, bought articles such as ping-pong tables and children's books, and sent them on behalf of Xinghai on August 2 to Huang Heyuan Hope Primary School in Qu Malan County, Yushu.
