SIP Hotel Association Founded to Promote SIP Tourism Industry

Inaugural meeting of SIP Hotel Association

SIP Hotel Association was officially founded on August 30 after 3 months' elaborate preparation, with the aim to enhance the communication and cooperation among hotels in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), to further improve the service and operation level of SIP hospitality industry, to accelerate self-discipline and self-management within the sector, and to promote the development and prosperity of SIP tourism. 

Up to now, Suzhou has 21 five-star hotels, ranking No.3 among major Chinese cities

Statistics show that by the first half of 2010 SIP has over 100 star-status hotels, tourist hotels and hostels, among which 36 hotels are medium and high-grade star, branded or budget hotels. The famous branded hotel chains under preparations for the high-end star hotels include kempinski, Mercure, Johnson, and etc. Now, with high-end star hotels as the leader, business boutique hotels as the features, and budget hotels and hostels as the supplement, SIP has preliminarily formed a good multi-layer pattern of hotels, catering to different customers to certain extent and providing the impetus for development of SIP tourism.
