XJTLU Freshman's Military Drill in Progress

The first batch of college freshmen of Suzhou began their military drill on August 27, and nearly 1,700 freshmen of Xi'an Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU), all born in the 1990s, had their first college class on the day at Wenxing Stadium in Dushu Lake Higher Education Town. A loud shout of slogan in unison could be heard clearly before the correspondent neared the stadium.

These 1,700 freshmen are from 29 provinces and municipalities around China, and those from Qinghai and Hainan Provinces are enrolled for the first time this year.

The freshman of XJTLU are in four major academic principles, namely, sciences, engineering, management and architecture, and finance and accounting, among which the five new majors of applied chemistry, mathematics and applied mathematics, business administration, HR management and architecture are newly added in 2010 academic year.
