On March 10, eight children from seven countries gathered at Xinghai Primary School for a special campaign calling for the public to take care of Yangcheng Lake, the mother lake nurturing local people for ages.

The city launched a series of activities starting on March 6, calling for the students of more than 100 schools to contribute to the breeding of one silver fish, inviting scholars to give lectures, and organizing a special summer camp to investigate the actual water quality of the lake. The purpose is to help more local kids and people to care for the waters in this city. The campaign will last from March till September.
