SIP Civil Heliport to Serve the Security of Expo 2010

The civil heliport located at Weiting Town of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) is under construction and the contractor introduced on March 5 that facilities of Phase One included six hangers and the designed capacity of the aprons was over 30 helicopters. The aprons as well as take-off and landing strips have been completed while a steel-structured hanger is under construction. The hanger is scheduled to be finished before Expo 2010 and the designed capacity is three helicopters, which are to be used for security purpose during the World Expo. The entire heliport will be finished by the end of 2010 and the services available include air tour, flight training, medical rescue, urgent business, official business, and private business flight.
