Civil Engineering Starts for Phase-I Sludge Drying Project in SIP

Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) held an opening ceremony on February 28 for Phase One civil construction of sludge drying project, the first of its kind in Jiangsu Province.

 

Located within the premises of Dongwu Thermal Power Plant adjacent to SIP No. 2 Sewage Treatment Plant, the project has a designed daily handling capacity of 900 tons of wet sludge from sewage treatment. Phase one is to be completed by the end of 2010 with a total investment of 229 million yuan and a daily capacity of 300 tons of sludge. The investor and operator of the project is SIP Sino-French Environmental Technology, a JV founded by China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Public Utilities Development Group (holding 51% equities) and Sino-French Water (49%).
