Suzhou's First Commercial Heliport to Open for Service during Expo 2010

The design effect of the heliport

Helicopter tours will be available to ordinary people during Expo 2010 Shanghai and the local residents will have the opportunity to have a bird's-eye view of the Tai Lake by boarding a helicopter. The city's first civil heliport located by Yangcheng Lake Avenue at Weiting Town of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) is under construction and to be finished soon. The Phase 1 facility has a designed capacity of handling the landing and take-off of thirty civil helicopters at the same time. The hourly rent of air-borne taxi is estimated at 30,000-40,000 yuan. Moreover, the heliport also takes on such social responsibilities as highway and forest rescue, tall building fire-fighting, official and business flight services.
