Suzhou to Build 5,000,000 Square Meters of Green Areas in 2010

Five million square meters of green areas will be built in Suzhou in 2010, an area 125 times the size of Suzhou Park. The planned green areas include the waterfront areas around the ancient city moat, Xujiang River, and Jinji Lake, as well as the landscape projects along Shanghai-Nanjing Intercity Railway.

According to the plan, Suzhou Industrial Park is to build 2,000,000 square meters of green areas this year and the key projects include the wetland park at SIP Ecological Science Hub and the landscape projects along Jinji Lake Avenue.
