SIP Leads the City's Modern Metropolitan Tourism

After construction and development over a decade, China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) has become a modern district of Suzhou with distinct characteristics different from the centuries-old city with delicate bridges over flowing waters.

At the meeting held on February 26 on accelerating the city's tourism industry and promoting tourist projects, Suzhou Municipal Tourism Bureau published the annual report on Suzhou Tourism 2009, according to which SIP has become the city's "new highland" of modern metropolitan tourism.

According to the statistics released in the report, Suzhou launched 28 500-million-yuan tourist projects during 2006 through 2009 and the total investment amounted to 25,544 million yuan, among which 10 projects were located in SIP with a total investment of 8,212 million yuan.
