Foreigners Enjoy Solving Riddles in Traditional Lantern Festival Activity
On February 27, Hudong Community CPC Committee in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) opened a special class for foreign residents at Bayside Garden. The class was about Chinese law and in order to get the knowledge, the students have to solve the puzzles written on red tags attached to a tree.

A foreign resident racks her brains in front of a riddle.

Composed in English, Korean, and Chinese, the riddles cover extensive fields of gender equality, community autonomy, and emergency calls. Ricky from Britain saw a riddle reading "one word, each man and woman has the same rights" and hurried to the staff telling him the answer "justice". He was right and got a prize. The participants were impressed by the special class and found it creative to infuse modern content into a traditional activity. They enjoyed festival dumplings together after the class.
