Towngas Tests Portable Devices for Utilities Payment

To make it more convenient for local residents to pay the fuel gas bill, Suzhou Towngas recently tested its portable devices of IC card charge terminal and host communication management system. To insert the IC card into the device and to input the amount of money to be charged, the terminal will communicate with backend database and accomplish the transaction. It takes the device 40 seconds on average to process one transaction.

The terminal features user-friendly interface and multiple functions of inquiry and statistical analysis. Equipped with rechargeable batteries, the portable device can be used at stores, residential communities, and Towngas offices.

Suzhou Towngas plans to gradually expand the service network on the basis of current test so as to cover nearly 200 SIP residential communities in the near future.
