Jiang Hongkun Meets with OW Foong Pheng for New Cooperation Platform

 

On the afternoon of February 8, Mr. Jiang Hongkun, Executive Member of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, and Mr. Yan Li, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Mayor of Suzhou, met with the Singaporean delegation led by Mrs. OW Foong Pheng, Second Permanent Secretary of Software Project Office of Singapore Ministry of Trade & Industry, at Suzhou International Conference Center.

"Thanks to Sino-Singapore Cooperation, the popularity and experience influence of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) has been continuously enhanced in recent years, and the concepts and experience of Singapore in administration adapted by in Suzhou have set up an exemplary role in Suzhou economic & social development, especially in open-type economy, and SIP still maintained a healthy growth momentum in financial recession last year," Mr. Jiang said, "SIP will be the pace setter in the transformation and upgrading of Suzhou."

Through concerted efforts and by developing new-emerging industries and building up industrial highland in conjunction with innovations and talents, Mr. Jiang hopes the both sides could work together to realize next 15 years' leap growth by chartering new path to industrial evolution and building new cooperation platforms.

"SIP is a strong impetus for enhancing Sino-Singapore friendship and cooperation; I hope the both sides could make efforts to build characteristic SIP as one of the best industrial parks in the world," said Mrs. OW at the meeting.
