Dushu Lake Library Donates Books to Huxi Community

To offer local residents convenient access to public library services, Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Huxi CPC Working Committee signed an agreement on February 8 with Suzhou Dushu Lake Library on building a community reading room.

The reading room is located on the third floor of Huxi CPC Working Committee's office building. The services available for local residents include e-books and inter-library loan services. According to the cooperation agreement, from March 1, 2010, to March 31, 2011, Dushu Lake Library will renew in every four months the books on the shelves of community reading room according to the requirements of Huxi CPC Committee. The first 1,000 books cover extensive fields of social sciences, history, marriage and maternity, vehicle, cosmetology, and wealth management. The management will also listen to the public and add what they want to read on the book list. Moreover, Suzhou Dushu Lake Library will install library circulation management system for the reading room and offer an account.

At the ceremony, both parties also agreed to cooperate on launching a series of popular science activities so as to share the resources of Public Forum and Fashion Classroom.
