 Shield Construction of Suzhou Light Rail Line 1 in SIP Progresses 20 Meters a Day

 

The right line tunnel from SIP Expo Station to Times Square Station is through

The average daily progress of shield construction is 18 circles and 20 meters

 

The workers are laying the tracks for the shield machine

 

The right line tunnel construction starting from Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) Expo Center Station and ending at Times Square Station along Suzhou Light Rail Line 1 has been finished. According to the spokesman from China Railway First Group, the contractor of the project, the right line is 739.769 meters long and the left line 741.534 meters. The shield construction started on December 16, 2009 and the daily speed is about 20 meters. The left line is expected to be finished early next month after the Spring Festival.
