SIP to Realize another Leap Growth Based on Transformation and Upgrading
Since its founding in 1994, Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) has obtained accomplishments that amazed the world, and produced the "SIP Experience" centering on "Learning, Innovation, Harmony, and Win-Win Cooperation". Stressing Nano-Industry, Promoting 3 Pillar Industries and 5 Sunrise Sectors

Secretary Ma Minglong of SIP CPC Working Committee introduced the plans of promoting the three pillar industries of electronic information, machinery manufacturing, and modern services and the five sunrise sectors of bio-medicine, animation and game, environmental protection, new energy, and unified communication. Special stress is laid on nano-technological industry and SIP hopes to make it the industrial highland so as to improve the competitive edge of the area. As for modern services, the highlight this year is to create a complete financial service system by introducing more financial institutions and private and equity investment foundations and setting up SME credit center and credit card center.

The Jinji Lake-rim CBD and Yangcheng Lake eco-tourist resort are new tourist destinations, while such large-scale shopping complexes as Jinji Lake Mall and Ligongdi gathered a large number of prestigious brands and attracted more and more shopaholics.
High-end commodities and fashion are the cores that SIP business sticks to and more projects will be launched in the near future. As for tourism, the holiday resorts on Jinji and Yangcheng lakes are the highlights, and plans are made to build a big theme park on Yangcheng Island to attract people from the entire Yangtze River Delta Area.
With the construction of the ring roads, viaducts, and railroads, the traffic in SIP becomes increasingly convenient. At the same time, the organizations at grassroots level lay a solid foundation for social improvement. As a new city center of distinct characteristics and, SIP will realize a seamless connection with the old downtown area in the near future.
