The award ceremony of the 3rd SIP Photography and Writing Competition was held at SIP Library on Dec 22. A total of 21 people were declared winners of the top three places and excellence award.

The competition, lasting from August to October, received 1,520 photography and literary works from local residents, college students, office workers and other photography and literature enthusiasts who recorded and portrayed the life in SIP through their lenses and pens.

It is learnt that one third of the photos were taken using professional cameras, while the rest with mobile phones. Nearly 130,000 people voted for the photos and their captions on line.

An exhibition kicked off concurrently, showcasing 46 excellent photos paired with texts. It will last till Dec 31.
