SIP Service Outsourcing Association hosted an event on Dec 20, when Dr. Li Kening, partner at Duane Morris LLP, one of the world's top 100 law firms, and director in Duane Morris & Selvam LLP's Shanghai office, expounded the US intellectual property rights (IPR) policies to nearly 200 local enterprise representatives based on real cases.

Li concentrates his practice in formulating intellectual property strategy and is highly experienced in worldwide IPR procurement and enforcement, including patent litigation in both China and the United States, and patent and trademark prosecution.

In the event, Li gave the participants a detailed account of the US laws for protection of commercial secrets, offered advice for key technology transfer, trademark registration, IP assignment and tax affairs in foreign trade, and answered the enterprise representatives' inquiries.
