Xingchennan Community joined hands with Dongshahu Federation of Trade Unions and YKK Building Materials Co Ltd to organize a hiking at Dongshahu Eco-Park on Dec 17, in an effort to popularize the low-carbon concepts among the locals. About 300 people in different age brackets participated.

The participants walked around the park, collecting garbage found on the way, chatting with each other and enjoying the beautiful sceneries all the way through. They arrived at the terminal about one hour and a half later, each holding a bag full of litter.

"The event offered us a chance to do physical exercises in nature as well as do our bit in environmental protection. We are glad to partake in it," one of the participants said.
