Different parties participate in reading promotion

Since its inception, SIP has been boasting a scholarly atmosphere. This should be attributed to the joint efforts of different parties in it.

Tonino Lamborghini Hotel Suzhou is one of them. The hotel has a famous public reading zone with more than 3,000 books, including 500 "flowing ones" that are exchanged with Dushu Lake Library on a regular basis. In addition, every guest room in the hotel has a comfortable and quiet study, where the guest can read paper books on the shelves or register at Dushu Lake Library' e-platform with the room number to read e-books.

The Linglongwan Community Library is another one. In addition to more than 5,000 books in collection, it also offers interlibrary services in collaboration with Dushu Lake Library and its branches across SIP, allowing the local residents to borrow and return books owned by Dushu Lake Library through it using their ID or citizen cards.

Many social organizations have also made remarkable contributions to the formation of the scholarly atmosphere in SIP. For example, Shuheng Children Reading Service Center has been endeavoring to set up a local reading network for children to share their picture books, opinions and feelings about reading as well as guiding the parents to join their children's reading.
