Southern Base of the Center for Coordination and Innovation of Food Safety Governance Opens
On December 19, "Chinese humanities and social science forum", with the theme of "Food safety governance: policy and legal framework" and sponsored by Renmin University of China (URC) and undertaken by Suzhou Campus of RUC and Center for Coordination and Innovation of Food Safety governance, opened in Suzhou Industrial Park, which aimed to further put into practice the decisions of the 5th plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee on food safety strategy and promote scientific decision-making and legal safeguarding process for China's food safety. At the opening ceremony, the plaque of Southern Base of the Center for Coordination and Innovation of Food Safety Governance was unveiled.
Center for Coordination and Innovation of Food Safety Governance is jointly established by URC, Tsinghua University, South China University of Technology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Law Society and Ministry of Environmental Protection, the aim of which is to effectively gather social innovation elements and resources to study and explore ways for food safety governance and speed up the uplifting of the relevant governance abilities and levels.
