Appreciating Genuine Painting and Calligraphy Works by Celebrities in SIP
The three-day Zhong Hong Xing autumn auction itinerate exhibition opened at Art Museum of Suzhou Art Academy with display of more than 70 genuine painting and calligraphic works by Tang Ying (1470-1524 AD), Wen Zhenming (1470-1559 AD), Xu Beihong (1895-1953 AD), Emperor Qianlong (1711-1799) of Qing Dynasty and some other celebrities. It is reported that the exhibition is to be held next in Xiamen and Hangzhou.
"Picture of Narcissus" by Chen Chun (1483-1544 AD), "Scroll Painting of Line Drawing of Arhats" by Wang Zhengfeng, "Dragonfly and Flower" by Qi Baishi (1864-1957), and some other ancient Chinese and contemporary painting and calligraphy works on exhibition provide a feast of art to Suzhou citizens.
Among these works, the most popular one is "The Lotus in Sunshine Appears Especially Red" painted by Director Shen Weifeng of flower-and-bird painting research institute of Nanjing Painting and Calligraphy Academy for the Great Hall of the People.
