SIP Calls Meeting for Party Secretaries to Review Work of Party Building at Grass-roots Level
On the afternoon of December 17, the leaders of CPC Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee, SIP Administrative Committee, Organization Department of CPC Municipal Committee, SIP government agencies, sub-district offices, community committees, as well as deputies to Party and people's congresses, members of Suzhou Political Consultative Conference, and representatives of grass-toots Party members met to listen to the reports on grass-roots Party construction work.
The audience listened to and discussed the reports of the officials in charge of Party construction work at SIP International Trade Zone and sub-district committees. The Party committee secretaries of Science & Education Innovation District and communities submitted written reports for discussion.
Wang Xiang, Standing Committee member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, made comments on each report. Since SIP launched the program of learning and practicing the Party's "mass line", all the units have made it a top priority to accomplish the tasks assigned by the central, provincial, municipal, and SIP Party committees. By learning the theories and putting them in practice, SIP has made solid progress in Party construction work at basic level, which lays a solid foundation for healthy and sustainable economic and social development.
Wang said the assessment on Party committee secretaries was an important measure to carry out the guiding principle of strict Party administration. "We see the achievements today," he said, "and we should also have a clear understanding of our weaknesses." He urged the participants to gain a deep understanding of the important speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping of the CPC Central Committee, to comprehend the significance of Party construction work, to fulfill the political responsibilities of reining and administering the Party, to do basic work well, and to keep improving the scientific level of Party building.
