Suzhou to Import More Agricultural Products from Canada

Suzhou Industrial Park and Canadian Chamber of Commerce (Suzhou) announced on December 13 a cooperation project, Canada Suzhou Trade Park, which is located at SIP's International Trade Zone and is to facilitate import and export between two countries with preferential policies and comprehensive services.

This is by far the China-Canada trade platform with the most diverse functions and most preferential policies. It is under special customs supervision and allows such businesses as bonded processing and logistics, import and export trade, and test and maintenance.

Its mission is to help Chinese SMEs get access to Canadian products and Canadian SMEs develop Chinese market. The specific plans include introducing more than 90% small businesses based in Canada to China, offering distribution, warehousing, logistic, and delivery services to Canadian companies opening branches in China and engaged in bulky import, providing trade services for enterprises and individuals with marketing channels in China and interested in products and resources in North America, and providing strong support to cross-border e-commerce businesses based in mainland China.

Canada Suzhou Trade Park will bring a large amount of agricultural products to China, said President Du Lin of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (Suzhou). "Local families will have Canadian cherries and blueberries."

North American companies in China registering with Chinese authority and meeting the park's requirements on annual import & export value or annual taxes;

Canadian SMEs with unique products and resources, willing to provide complete product presentation, promotion, trade, and services, and willing to grant exclusive marketing rights to an agent based at the park;

Chinese companies interested in Canadian products and resources and having solid online or offline marketing channels; and

Members of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce (Suzhou).

Companies based at the park and in line with the development direction of SIP International Trade Zone are entitled to a series of preferential policies based on their business performance and contributions to SIP's development, including office subsidy, tax reward, and executive incentive;

On top of the waiting list for exclusive dealership of products or resources imported from Canada and released through the platform;

Getting priority on presenting, publicizing, and promoting their own products.
