Li Bin, deputy director of Suzhou Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau, and his contingent visited SIP Public Culture Center (SIPPCC) on Mar 12 for a survey on a pilot program that is underway there in the aim of exploring experience in offering integrated public cultural and tourist services.
It is learnt that the program was part of a plan that the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China launched late last year to select a number of public cultural institutions and tourist service centers across the country to pilot integrated cultural and tourist services relying on shared resources to blaze new trails for synchronous high-level cultural and tourism development.
In the event, the bureau’s officials attended a meeting with the SIPPCC officials and listened to their reports on SIPPCC’s development since its founding last year and the specific plans for the pilot program. Based on that, the bureau’s officials gave instructions on the future progress of the program.
