A wonderful art show took place at Suzhou Dushu Lake Theatre, SIP on Oct 9, as part of the 2019 “Jiangsu-Ili Friendship” Public-Benefit Performance Tour sponsored by Jiangsu Command Headquarters for Assistance to Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture which, formed in 2010 in Ili Kazak autonomous prefecture in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, is committed to pushing on programs aimed at giving the prefecture a helping hand in its economic and social development. 

 

The show included a list of singing, dancing and folk music performances by art troupes from SIP and Ili to depict the changes in people’s life in the two areas and highlight the outcomes of a series of assistance programs.

 

　　 

It is learnt that SIP has played a big part in supporting Xinjiang’s development over the past years, including bringing investment into the area, helping build infrastructure and rolling out its good practices for economic development in the area.
