The residents in Shating Jiayuan, a residential quarter in SIP’s Weiting Sub-district, were recently treated to an art show which, themed “My Hometown Suzhou”, was designed to enrich the residents’ cultural life and offer them a chance to celebrate the country’s 70th anniversary together. 

 

The light rain just before the open-air show did not hold back the residents’ zest. All the seats that had been wiped dry by local administrative staff and volunteers were occupied.

The performances included traditional Chinese operas, instrumental ensembles, acrobatics and dances.
