The 2019 Jinji Lake Travel & Shopping Festival (JLTSF), launched in SIP by SIP Business Association on July 26, wrapped up at SIP’s Ligongdi Cultural and Creative Block on Aug 27 following the conclusion of a fluorescent night run, the last event of the festival.

The festival boasted a list of sales promotions at 23 local business carriers and scenic spots such as Suzhou Center, old Xietang Street, Suzhou Eslite Bookstore, Jinji Lake Scenic Area (JLSA) and Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort (YLPTR), and a diversity of events like photo exhibition, flash mob shows, food festival and concerts. Besides, a WeChat program was employed to offer seckill coupons and products online.

Statistics covering 19 spots record 20 million footfall in total, up 13.8% year-on-year. Specifically, average daily footfall at JLSA reached 1.09 million and that at JLSA was 571,000, while the number of visitors to HB World doubled the figure last year.

JLTSF represents an innovative “tourism plus leisure” business development mode which SIP hopes can help boost local economic growth. At the closing ceremony, businesses and organizations that made significant contributions to the success of the festival received awards.
