Sponsored by Suzhou YLPTR Tourist Service Co Ltd, the two-day YCHP Cycling Carnival kicked off at Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Tourist Resort (YLPTR), SIP on May 3. The event gathered about 1,000 cycling enthusiasts, including over 200 kids.

At the opening ceremony, YLPTR Cycling Club was inaugurated. It will be engaged in popularizing the sport of cycling and arouse the public's awareness of low-carbon travel.

It is worth mentioning that Li Jianrou, a Chinese short track speed skater who won a gold medal in the 500-meter event of the 2014 Winter Olympics, and Liu Hao, a professional cyclist who won the championship in the 1-kilometer omnium at the 12th National Games of China in 2013, showed up at the event. Li read the Letter of Appeal for Eco-friendly Travel at the opening ceremony, while Liu made a vow on behalf of the contestants and competed in a race later the day.

The opening day saw two men's and one women's off-road races on grassland and paths in woodland and scrubland, 15- and 30-kilometer cycling marathons and a children's balance bike race which is part of the 2019 QBABY Children's Balance Bike Open.

The next day saw a children's off-road balance bike race and a cycling experience event.

Moreover, the event included a buffet party on lawn and a bazaar that gave the participants wonderful experiences.
